David and Rhonda Tester

How great life is!

Rhonda Tester left three acres of much loved gardens when she and her husband David left their acreage and moved to a brand new home overlooking Kooindah Waters 15th fairway.

“We lived on a beautiful property in an idyllic setting. I love gardening and our grand children delighted in finding new hiding spots; but the property took so much time to maintain that we started to consider moving somewhere where we could spend more time enjoying life,” said Rhonda.

Having lived on the Central Coast for thirty years, the couple wanted to remain in the area. They knew it would take a very special place to live up to the acreage. At Kooindah Waters, they found the combination of wide open spaces and relaxed lifestyle they were looking for.

“We never make rash decisions but we walked through the display home, straight to the deck at the back overlooking the golf course and within an hour we had paid the deposit,” said Rhonda.

“We were used to looking out across the treetops and didn’t want to lose that feeling of space. Our new home backs onto the undulating green of the golf course. We have neighbours but don’t feel at all boxed in.

“It’s important to us that there’s a real sense of community here and I honestly don’t think I’ve ever met a nicer group of people,” Rhonda said.

While David is a keen golfer, Rhonda has just started lessons. Their grandchildren visit each week and their eight year old grandson is also enjoying golf lessons! The couple has made many new friends through the golf club and a social group initiated by Rhonda to support the charity, Operation Christmas Child.

“It’s hard to say what we like best about Kooindah Waters. We’re just thrilled with our life now. There’s nothing better than sitting back on a Sunday morning, enjoying the view and peace and quiet. We just keep thinking how great our life is!” said Rhonda.
